To All LCPCPC Current & Perspective Members and Departments:
It has become apparent that not all LCPCPC members know how to properly use the range and the facilities. Increasing damage to the backstops, damage to the 25 yard and the 50 yard barricades, improper hanging of targets, improper targets used, excessive trash left on the range, gas used and not paid for, etc. has occurred.
Therefore, to prevent an increase in membership fees to cover the costs of repairs, maintenance, fuel, etc., effective November 1, 2016 ALL LCPCPC members (new, old, & law enforcement departments) will be required to complete a FREE short (approximately 45 minute) Range Orientation Class prior to receiving their membership card regardless of how many years you have been a member. When a paid application is received, the member will either A) sign up for an orientation class based on the schedule posted on the LCPCPC.net website, or B) contact one of the Range Training Officers to schedule a class. Classes will be offered at least 1-2 times per week at varied times and also on weekends. At the completion of the orientation class, the members attending that orientation will be issued their membership card.
For law enforcement departments or military groups with numerous members, the Trainer(s) for the department will be the required person(s) to complete the orientation. They will then be responsible to train their department members on proper range usage and will issue the membership cards. Departments WILL NOT be able to reserve the range for training until this orientation is completed.
Please get your paid applications in as soon as possible so classes can be scheduled and cards can be issued without too much delay. Any questions or concerns should be directed to Kerry Walters, President at 717-274-2306 or Joe Murray 717-926-0290 (after 5pm please).
Thank you,
LCPCPC Officers & Directors
